MORRIS TWP. â Deputy Mayor Jeffrey Grayzel, who is expected to be elected as mayor by his fellow Township Committee members when the township reorganizes on Wednesday, Jan. 6, spoke about the difficulties of the previous years instead of offering promises for the year ahead.
Grayzel, a Democrat, thanked âfront line healthcare workers, the Township Committee and others for their services during 2020 the year of COVID-19,â he said at the Wednesday, Dec. 16 Township Committee Zoom meeting.
âIâd like to start by reminding everyone to be thankful for our frontline healthcare workers who are once again battling high levels of the coronavirus,â he added. âI am thankful that vaccinations started at Morristown (Medical Center) yesterday. I would also like to remind everyone that we are all in this together. As we move into the winter months many of our neighbors will be living in isolation because it will be too cold to go outside.
