Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Mayor Cllr Mike Facey issues Christmas message
Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge’s Mayor Cllr Mike Facey has wished residents a happy Christmas following a “difficult” year.
In his message to residents, the Mayor says: “I know that 2020 has been a unique and difficult year for everyone.”
“On behalf of Burnham and Highbridge Town Council I want to give my sincere thanks to every neighbour, community group and volunteer who has given so generously of their time to help others.”
“The council respects and gives gratitude to them all.”
“As we look forward to 2021, we hope for a peaceful, happy and healthy new year.”

Burnham and Highbridge Town Band gave a special outdoor performance of Christmas music on the town’s seafront on Saturday (December 12th).
The band played Carols and festive tunes for a couple of hours in the winter sunshine in front of a socially distanced gathering of onlookers.
Burnham’s Mayor Cllr Mike Facey and Deputy Mayor Cllr Andy Hodge were among the visitors to show their support after the Town Council gave them funding last year.
The band will play again on the seafront next to the Bay View Cafe on Saturday 19th December, weather permitting.
