Officials are warning of strict action if anyone breaks this rule. “Many people wanted to go to a hill or a nearby forest on December 31 for a night or early morning trek to welcome the new year from the top. However, this is quite dangerous, so we decided to ban all such night treks on New Year’s Eve to avoid people going to restricted areas,” said an official.
New Year Traffic Advisory: Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayanand said no vehicular movement will be allowed except police and essential services vehicles, between 8 pm on December 31 and 1 AM on January 1.
