[중앙일보] 7일(현지시간) 미국 반도체산업협회(SIA)에 따르면 지난 5월 전 세계 반도체 시장 매출은 436억 달러(약 49조7800억원)로 집계됐다. 전년 동월 대비 25.2% 증가한 수치다. 4월(418억 달러)과 비교하면 4.1% 증가했다. 지역별로 보면 유럽이 전년 동기 대비 31.2% 증가했고, 아시아‧태평양(30.9%), 중국(26.1%) 등도 평균보다 매출 증가율이 높았다. 같은 기간 미국(20.9%)과 일본(20.4%)은 상대적으로 증가율이 낮았다.
