PETALING JAYA: Malayan Banking Bhd’s (Maybank) insurance arm Etiqa is beefing up its sustainability initiatives as the insurer prepares for expansion in Asean.
MALAYAN Banking Bhd’s (Maybank) insurance and takaful arm Etiqa International Holdings Sdn Bhd (EIH) broke a five-year streak of gross written premium (GWP) growth last year, weighed down by a restructuring of its products in the Singapore market. It expects a strong rebound this year, however, with GWPs likely to see double-digit growth. The group's general insurance business is expected to drive results.
