Students and staff teamed up for a competitive, fun-filled dodgeball tournament that benefitted an important cause. Volunteers from the Meelia Center and Campus Ministry offices collaborated to organize the tournament to raise money for people affected by natural disasters in Turkey and Syria. The tournament took place on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 10:00 am.

COVID-19 vaccine eligibility expands to all adults in Rhode Island, Massachusetts

All adults in Southern New England will become eligible to book appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine beginning Monday.
The expansion will open vaccinations to about 250,000 Rhode Island residents age 16 and older, according to state health officials.
In Massachusetts, an additional 1.7 million people, also 16 and older, will now be able to get a shot.
Both states are bracing for an influx in vaccine demand.
Rhode Island health officials told NBC 10 News that the sometimes troubled website used to make appointments has been improved ahead of a projected spike in traffic.
Fall River Middle Schoolers Given Hands-on Robotics Experience
A physics teacher from Bishop Connolly is leading middle school students in robotics and science challenges during the pandemic.
If things were normal right now, middle school students across the state would be participating in the FIRST LEGO League robotics challenges around this time of year. According to a recent press release, social distancing and other safety considerations have altered these plans for the Catholic schools in the Diocese of Fall River. One teacher has gone above and beyond the call of duty to bring these challenges to the home front.
