Local Sisters Named As Two Youngest On Recent Forbes List

Photos from the websites of Dunne Goodwin and Valet Seller Last month, global business media brand, Forbes, announced that Rochester-natives, Sheila and Maya Dunne, have been selected for the inaugural Forbes Next 1000 List Class of 2021, which honors the “upstart entrepreneurs redefining the American dream.” Sheila Dunne (age 22) and Maya Dunne (age 20) are graduates of Honeoye Falls-Lima High School; Sheila in the Class of 2016 and Maya in the Class of 2017. The Dunne sisters are amongst the first 250 honorees and have been featured in the “Marketing & Advertising” and “Retail & E-Commerce” categories as two of the youngest. The list celebrates startups who have remained “resilient, vibrant, and ever-changing amidst the pandemic” and showcases diverse individuals from every industry across the country. Forbes Next 1000 list: How Sheila and Maya Dunne earned recognition

Entrepreneurs Sheila and Maya Dunne of Honeoye Falls have earned a spot on the inaugural Forbes Next 1000 list for establishing Dunne Goodwin and Valet Seller separately founded companies. At 22 and 20 years old, respectively, the sisters are two of the youngest to be honored on the Forbes magazine list, which recognizes the upstart entrepreneurs reshaping the American dream. This year-round initiative showcases the ambitious sole proprietors, self-funded shops and pre-revenue startups in every region of the country all with under $10 million in revenue or funding and infinite drive and hustle, the article introducing the Next 1000 list states. Both companies are run by twentysomethings including some of the Dunne sisters longtime friends and some Honeoye Falls-Lima High School graduates.
