Missouri City voters were asked whether they support nine amendments to the city s charter during the May 1 election.
With both Fort Bend and Harris counties reporting early voting returns, each of the nine amendments have garnered more than 50% support.
The city s charter outlines how the city s government is structured and contains its rules and procedures.
Two of proposed changes would extend the term length for City Council members from two to three years and limit a council member to 12 consecutive years before a two-year sit out period, if passed.
The following table contains the ballot text and a brief explanation of each amendment.
