IMD forecast: India faces a persistent heat wave with temperatures soaring up to 45°C in various regions, triggering heat wave warnings and forecasts of warm nights and hot weather conditions over the next five days.
In its seasonal outlook for the hot weather season, the department said that from April to June, above-normal maximum temperatures are likely over most parts of the country, except some parts of east and northeast India and pockets of northwest India.
