The Parañaque City Police said that it continues to be strict in implementing safety protocols to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) such as the proper wearing of face masks. This was after Pres. Duterte warned that anyone caught not properly wearing their face mask in public may face arrest and detention for nine hours at the police station. “Very strict po tayo dito sa Parañaque. Iyong mga ‘di [nagsusuot] ng face mask dito ay pine-penalize po natin, binibigyan natin ng citation ticket (We are very strict here in Parañaque. Violators who do not wear face masks are penalized and given citation tickets),” Parañaque City Police Chief Col. Maximo Sebastian Jr. said.
