Three former correctional officers at the Hawaiʻi Community Correctional Center were found guilty for assaulting an inmate. Jason Tagaloa, Craig Pinkney, and Jonathan Taum were convicted after a three-week trial last week. A fourth officer, Jordan DeMattos, previously pleaded guilty for his role in the assault.
