Far left lane currently blocked and some delays as you get through the petaluma area. Bay bridge toll plaza, no issues there between the toll booths but the metering lights have been on since 5 22 this morning. We have another problem on 880 near state route 92. And we just got word within the past hour of a fire in the Oakland Hills is now out. It had threatened homes after breaking out just past noon yesterday. Firefighters launched a heavy assault. It was mainly by air because the hills made it tough to get to. In the end no damage or injuries. There is a lot of construction in that area. New homes are being built. Firefighters dont know the cause of the fire which is great news that fire is out this morning. I want to bring in drew tuma so we can talk more about this. There is a red flag warning in effect right now. What does that mean, and who exactly is affected . Who should care . Everybody should care. Thats the ground rule today. Congestion driving through. Looks good from san ramon to pleasanton and sunol on the sunol grid, looks pretty good here. Interstate 880 in oakland, traffic is moving well as you pass oracle arena and heading to downtown oakland. The bay bridge toll plaza is light. That would last long but right now it is a slow drive. Thank you, sal. Happening right now, firefighters are still in the Oakland Hills, standing by to make sure that a brush fire does not flare up. That brush fire is now 06 contained, started yesterday near edwards avenue and mountain avenue, not far from Merritt Community college. The fire did burn dangerously close to some homes and spread quickly. 80 firefighters worked to put that out from the ground but the air drops from cal fire may have been the biggest factor in getting that fire under control. They were dead on with their accuracy with putting the flame down and reducing high flame to moderate and lower, almost completely extinguishing the flame. They were phenomen
