Bruins forward Karson Kuhlman is in the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol and won’t be available for Boston’s Thursday opener at New Jersey.
Kuhlman was on the NHL’s first COVID Protocol absence list that unveiled Wednesday. It’ll be released on game days throughout the season.
The NHL included an explainer for its plan that pointed out that being on the list doesn’t necessarily imply a positive test:
