The cold was biting on the last Saturday in January, but it wasn't enough to keep sledders from zipping down Carly’s Hill in Fife Lake. Only sleds made out of cardboard were allowed.
“I’ve gotten more calls this year than I’ve ever gotten for people looking for wholesale trees,” said Jamie Helsel, who owns a Christmas tree farm in McBain. “They can’t find ‘em.”
