CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cuyahoga County Grand Jury indicted a 23-year-old woman for killing two Lakewood men in a drunk-driving crash.
Lakewood police said Selena Colon crashed into another car on Sunday, Feb. 21 on Clifton Boulevard., killing Maximus Close, 19, and Alejandro Mercado, 19.
Both victims graduated from Lakewood High School in 2020. Lakewood police said she caused a crash which killed two 19-year-olds. (Source: Solon police)

LAKEWOOD, Ohio (WOIO) - A 23-year-old woman charged with two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, speeding and OVI appeared in Lakewood Municipal Court Tuesday morning.
Lakewood police said Selena Colon, of North Royalton, crashed into another car on Sunday, Feb. 21 on Clifton Blvd., killing two 19-year-old Lakewood men.
The victims, Maximus Close and Alejandro Mercado, graduated from Lakewood High School in 2020.

LAKEWOOD, Ohio (WOIO) - The speed limit on Clifton Blvd is 35 miles per hour, but neighbors tell 19 News thatâs not stopping cars from driving by recklessly.
âI looked out our front bedroom window, and thatâs when I saw the devastating wreckage on the street behind usâ said neighbor Jillian Marie.
Police say, on Feb. 21, Selena Colon was drunk and going 80 miles per hour down Clifton with her headlights off when she smashed into Max Close and Alejandro Mercado, cutting their car in half and their lives short.
