hey,ed to. todd: yesterday united flight 2434 was heading from sarasota to chicago. just but before 4:00 p.m., less than an hour after takeoff the pilot had to make emergency landing after open door warning light popped. this scare coming less than a week after horrifying door panel blowout on alaska airlines flight. in response the airline is can seeing all of their boeing 737 max 9 flights through saturday as they continue safety inspections. it s important to note, even though united airlines is one of the two american companies operating jet liners. reports say the united plane that had to make the emergency landing in tampa yesterday was not a boeing 737 max #. update to the overall story yesterday, alaska says it is still waiting for documentation from boeing and the faa to begin inspection on the max 9 fleet. after that panel blew off mid flight, the entire cabin was depressurized 16,000 feet in the air, causing a chaotic and
incredibly, no one was sitting there. even the cockpit door flying open. passenger elizabeth lay saying a boy s shirt was ripped off and sent flying out of the plane. the son s shirt was, like, completely blown off and his body was truly red. i m assuming due to irritation. did you declare an emergency, or do you just need to return? yes, we are emergency. we are depressurized. we do need to return back. reporter: with those planes now grounded, the faa sending airlines instructions for mandatory inspection of their max-9 fleet. and just today, and just today, united airlines, which owns and on rates 79 of the max-9s, says it has found loose bolts in the door plug that needed additional tightening. the fact that loose bolts have been found in other similar aircraft indicates that possibly this is an endemic problem that was created in manufacturing. reporter: united not commenting on how many planes had loose bolts, but says it appears to relate to installation issues in th
