Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings, with pianist Alvin Waddles and violinist Kimberly Kaloyanides Kennedy, will perform Sunday at Historical Detroit Church.
Over 50 artists, some returning and others making their debut, will arrive in Michigan this summer for the return of the Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival. From June 10 to 25, the Festival will host a series of chamber music concerts, workshops, artistic discussions and community events across metro-Detroit.
This year’s theme is “visions and revisions,” which explores traditional and contemporary pieces with established and rising artists, including violinist Philip Setzer, pianists Alessio Bax and Soyeon Kate Lee, and world-renowned soprano Christine Goerke.
