As the weather brightens and takes on a distinctly summery warmth, Tipperary’s Bealtaine Festival is, as usual, gearing up to bring our audiences an annual feast for the senses of music, dance, theatre, craft and this year we’ve added gardening to the mix.
Maureen Purcell is choice for Register of Deeds
The Iredell County GOP Executive board heard from 5 highly qualified candidates all vying for the position left vacant when Ron Wyatt left the Register of Deeds position January 4th. The majority vote was for Maureen Purcell of Mooresville.
The NC State Statute says the person elected by majority vote of the same political party SHALL be appointed to the remaining term by the County Commissioners. The County Commissioners will meet again February 2, 2021.
Purcell said “I am honored that the Republican executive committee has trusted me with position of Register of Deeds. I look forward to serving the citizens of iredell county.”
