Britains city of culture as we review 12 months of cracking events. Thats right, its been an absolutely phenomenal year. We have so much to look back on. Across four seasons, hull took art out of galleries and theatres and into the streets. 365 days of events changed the way the city has been seen by the rest of the world. The year has gone by so quick, i cannot believe its almost over, and i hope these guys get to stay. This is the latest installation for 2017 called where do we go from here. These robot arms brought out of retirement to do some dancing for us here in the city of culture. And it sort of mirrors back to the start of the year back injanuary when the whole of the city centre was filled with lights and sounds. That was amazing. That was how we started the season, made in hull. Crowd eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one. 2017 really did start with a bang with 3. 5 tonnes of fireworks. Is being transformed by a year long festival of arts and culture. Anne marie tasker and kofi smiles report on the highlights. Hello, and welcome to hull, which, for the whole of 2017 is the uks City Of Culture. And this is the Humber Bridge, just the latest location to take part in the 365 Day Celebration of arts and culture. Pulled between stars and asteroids, meteors and satellites. This Stuning Landmark is being turned into a giant musical instrument, taking you on a sonic journey across the humber. And ive been on myjourneys, too, exploring the cultural links between this maritime city and its sister city of reykjavik. I think all this talk about girls not boxing is old fashioned. E we will also find out how womens boxing pioneer barbara buttrck is finally being recognised in her home city. Were on top of the Humber Bridge. Over there is lincolnshire, and behind you is the city of hull. This is one of the norths most famous landmarks. It has stunning views and is an amazing piece of engineering. By the way, it is 156 metres tall, thats just under 500 feet. Just a bit shorter than the blackpool tower. I dont know how ill get down from here, but i guess i will cross that bridge when i come to it. Ill let you into a little secret theres actually a lift up to here. Oh
