Kidnapping charges added to Shasta Lake couple already charged with forced labor

A federal grand jury has added kidnapping charges for a City of Shasta Lake couple already charged with forced labor and harboring aliens. According to prosecutors, Nery A. Martinez Vasquez, 52, and his wife Maura N. Martinez, 52, both of Shasta Lake, became US citizens after immigrating from Guatemala. The pair own the restaurant Latino's in the City of Shasta Lake and Redding Carpet and Janitorial Services.
