The “Max Ernst: Surreal Mindscapes & Characters” exhibit in the Schaefer International Gallery opened April 9 and runs through June 1, 2024. The gallery remains open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. In addition, the Gallery has announced a free exhibit event on May 30.
The next Hawaiian Music Series of 2024 will take place on Thursday, April 25 at 6 p.m. at Hale Hoʻikeʻike at the Bailey House in Wailuku. The free event will feature well-known local musicians Wilson Kanakaʻole and Jarret Roback.

Inspired by the devastation of the Aug. 8 Maui wildfires, Makawao artist and gallery owner Jordanne Perkins picked up her brushes and painted her Lahaina Strong Series — 45 paintings in 52 days to honor Lahaina residents and memories of their historic town.
