Monmouth Farmers Market moving downtown

MONMOUTH Come May, Monmouth’s farmers market will be a Friday night event on the public square.
David Wise, executive director of the Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce, said the weekly event will also incorporate educational and entertainment components.
“I’m excited for the market his year and the possibilities,” Wise said.
Previously the farmers market was on Friday mornings at several locations, a time Wise said may not have been ideal for customers.
Moving it downtown to the northeast quadrant of the public square, in front of the Chamber office, Wise hopes to attract more people and make it a seasonal community event.
