OGDENSBURG – The Ogdensburg Journal will return to the city June 3.
Former Ogdensburg Journal editor Matthew J. Curatolo will assume the managing editor role, according to a “Coming Soon” edition that appeared in Ogdensburg residents’ mail boxes this week.
Also returning to the Journal is Dave “Doc” Shea, who served as sports editor at The Journal for decades.
The Johnson Newspaper Corp. announced the closure of The Ogdensburg Journal and the St. Lawrence Plaindealer in June of 2019.
In the announcement from the news organization they said readers in those communities had already chosen the Watertown Daily Times as their source for news and information.
