Coast Guard airlifts 3 fishermen from ice floes on Lake St. Clair

A helicopter and crew from the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Detroit was called to assist in an ice rescue in Canadian waters on Saturday, Jan. 27. The crew rescued three fishermen from the ice flows.

DETROIT More than 20 people were fishing on Lake St. Clair on Saturday morning when the surface began to crack and break into ice floes, preventing some anglers from returning to shore.
