Labor leader Anthony Albanese unveiled the frontbench reordering on Thursday, commenting he was confident he had formed the “strongest team to lead an Albanese Labor government”.
Shadow financial services minister Stephen Jones will now be overlooking superannuation, positioning his station closer to Jane Hume, Minister for Superannuation, Financial Services and the Digital Economy.
“Stephen Jones has had superannuation added to his title to reflect what the government has done and the rest of our changes do reflect the existing government portfolios, so that there’s a consistency there,” Mr Albanese declared during a press briefing.
