Jeffrey Forrest trial: 3 testify Wednesday of alleged sexual abuse
The trial in 350th District Court started Monday with jury selection.
Tuesday s hearing included opening remarks and testimony by Johnathan Blake Steele, the victim in connection with the charge.
Some of Wednesday morning was devoted to legal proceedings between lead prosecutor Erin Stamey, defense attorney Paul Stuckle and Judge Thomas Wheeler without the jury present concerning whether the therapist and three men could testify.
Wheeler allowed the testimony, which began in the afternoon.
Licensed therapist Denise Baker, who specializes in risk assessments and treatment of sexual offenders, had two sessions with Forrest in April 2014 at her Denton office. The sessions were part of a family court order related to Forrest s divorce proceedings with his wife, Jennifer, the therapist said.
