Matthew Robert Shaver, 28, pleaded not guilty Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, in Olmsted County District Court to four counts of criminal vehicular homicide. Shaver also made a demand for a jury trial on the charges. A tentative June date has been scheduled.

A Rochester man alleged to have been nearly twice over the legal limit for driving when he crashed into another vehicle, killing a 24-year-old woman in December 2020, made his first appearance in Olmsted County District Court on four felony charges.
Matthew Robert Shaver, 28, is charged with four counts of criminal vehicular homicide. He made his first court appearance Wednesday morning when Judge Lisa Hayne ordered him released on conditions including that he not use alcohol or mood altering substances and that he submit to random testing. Shaver s next court appearance is scheduled for July 29.
