HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - A Motorcyclist on Maui has died from his injuries days after a crash over the weekend.
Matthew Perreira passed away at Maui memorial Medical center Tuesday morning.
A Chevrolet pick-up trying to turn left onto Dairy Road from Hukilike Street struck the 28-year-old from Haiku on Sunday morning.
It’s not yet known if the driver accused in the crash will face charges tied to the death.

A 28-year-old Haiku man who was hit while riding a motorcycle Sunday died Tuesday morning at Maui Memorial Medical Center, police said Wednesday.
Police identified the victim as Matthew Perreira.
The motor vehicle crash occurred at 11:48 a.m. Sunday on Dairy Road at the intersection of Hukilike Street in Kahului.
Police said a preliminary investigation revealed a Chevrolet pickup traveling northeast on Hukilike Street attempted to execute a left turn onto Dairy Road when it collided with a Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Perreira. He was traveling southwest on Dairy Road when the collision occurred.
Perreira suffered life-threatening injuries Sunday, police said.
