Gunmen suspected to kidnappers have reportedly abducted the Chairman of Abissa Council of Chiefs, High Chief Matthew Opoto in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State. The traditional ruler was said to have been abducted by yet-to-be identified gunmen riding in about five speedboats during the weekend, according to PMNigeria reports. The abduction, according to reports, happened when the High Chief was travelling with members of his council of chiefs through the Abisse waterway in the Akuku-Toru Local Government Area of the state.
