Director Hwang Dong-hyuk of Netflix's Korean series 'Squid Game' was the first non-English-speaking drama to win the American Emmy Award for Best Director. The American Academy of Television Arts and Sciences named Hwang as the winner of the Best Director award at the 74th Emmy Awards held at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles today.
