Massena Town Supervisor Steve O’Shaughnessy, Al Nicola and Sam Carbone won’t seek reelection for their positions in November, according to Massena Democrats who held a caucus Tuesday. All three were on council during the lengthy and controversial process of shifting ownership of Massena Memorial Hospital from the town to St. Lawrence Health System. During their time on the council Massena also invested and expanded its efforts to promote fishing tournaments on the St. Lawrence River in the Massena area.
