A charge of theft against an attorney who formerly worked at Allegheny College was withdrawn Wednesday in exchange for a guilty plea to a lesser charge, according to Venango County Central Court.
The first-degree misdemeanor charge of theft by unlawful taking against Allison Dominique Hartle, 35, of 232 Overlook Drive, Franklin, was withdrawn during a preliminary hearing in court on Wednesday. Hartle is now facing a summary offense charge for criminal mischief for the alleged theft of presidential campaign signs back in August.
Hartle was a part-time program coordinator at the Center for Political Participation at Allegheny College at the time of the alleged theft, but the college has since confirmed to the Tribune that she no longer works there.
