James W. Sipprell succumbed to his long battle with lung cancer and pulmonary fibrosis on Thursday, December 10, 2020. Because he was a fighter, he did not receive this diagnosis and go gently into the night; he continued to live as best he could until he couldn’t. He passed peacefully in his home, surrounded by family he loved, and in the care of an amazing hospice team in his adopted homeland, the foothills of Tennessee.
He was born on Aug. 21, 1945, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to the late James and Nellie Sipprell.
He is survived by the love of his life, Kathy (Tootsie) Jones Sipprell and his children, Nicole Ela (Jake) of Canada, his adored son, Robert Sipprell (Eryn) of Canada, Jackie Taylor (Roy) and Jamey Gaston (Michelle). He is survived by his grandchildren, Spencer Schorle, Kelle Ann Thompson, Tori Gaston, Matthew Gaston, Brenna Ela, Emily Ela, Konnor Ela, Eli James Sipprell. H
