Fellow Georgians, Our last day of the 2021 legislative session was March 31. As always, the last day, or “Sine Die,” is one of our busiest days at the Capitol. (“Sine Die” means without a specific date planned to resume; so, adjourning the House “Sine Die” means we do not plan to resume the session soon.)
The House acted on more than 90 bills on Sine Die, including Senate Bill 6 and Senate Bill 220, both of which I will highlight here. The Special Committee on Election Integrity of the Georgia House of Representatives held hearings Thursday and Friday on HB 531, which includes a provision designed to ban private funding of election administration of the sort practiced by the Mark Zuckerberg-funded Center for Technology and Civic Life (CTCL) in that state in 2020.
“No superintendent shall take or accept any funding, grants, or gifts from any source other than from the governing authority of the county or municipality, the State of Georgia, or the federal government,” lines 47 through 49 of HB 531, which is sponsored by Committee Chair State Rep. Georgia state representative Joseph Gullet introduced a bill to the Georgia House of Representatives that would ban private funding for the administration of federal, state and local elections to combat any outside influence and meddling.

Several hundred marchers gathered Saturday at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta. They marched around the capitol building seven times like Joshua and his warriors marched around Jericho. These modern-day marchers also prayed at the same time about this upcoming Tuesday election that will determine which party will control the U.S. Senate.
If Republican Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler lose on Jan. 5th to Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, both the U.S. House and Senate would be controlled by the Democratic Party.
