A self-styled leftist activist and agent provocateur from Utah facing federal charges connected to the storming of the U.S. Capitol is accused of violating the terms of his release from jail while awaiting trial.

John Sullivan, the 26-year-old left-wing activist from Utah who recorded an up-close video of a woman s fatal shooting during the U.S. Capitol insurrection Jan. 6, has been accused of breaking the terms of his release agreement regarding his use of the Internet.
In a court document filed last week, U.S. Pretrial Services Officer Josh Cahoon alleged that Sullivan violated his approved Internet usage on four separate instances, The Salt Lake Tribune reported.
Magistrate Judge Daphne Oberg, of the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah, issued a court summons for Sullivan based on the filing. He faces federal charges of civil disorder, entering a restricted building and violent entry or disorderly conduct.

According to the Justice Department, John Earle Sullivan, 26, has been charged with one count of knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds and one count of interfering with law enforcement who are engaged in the lawful performance of their official duties incident to and during the commission of civil disorder.
Sullivan, who was arrested Thursday, Jan. 14 in his hometown of Provo, Utah, faces jail time if he is convicted.
