Singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo has released her highly anticipated original song “drivers license” as her debut single via Interscope/Geffen Records.
Written with and produced by Dan Nigro, a frequent collaborator of Conan Gray, Lewis Capaldi, and Carly Rae Jepsen, “drivers license” is an ode to heartbreak. It arrives with a Matthew Dillon Cohen-directed music video.

In the video, Rodrigo uses her newly obtained driver’s license to cruise aimlessly through the suburbs. Reeling from a breakup, she sings: “I guess you didn’t mean what you wrote in that song about me / ‘Cause you said forever, now I drive alone past your street.”
