HALL COUNTY, Ga. Officials say three people are dead and a home was evacuated after a single-engine plane heading to Florida crashed in north Georgia late Friday night.
The crash happened shortly after 6 p.m. along Memorial Park Drive and Atlanta Highway near Gainesville, ABC-affiliate WSB-TV reported.
Investigators said the plane crashed into a ravine in the area.
The Hall County Sheriff s Office said Dan Delnoce, 44, of Gainesville, Georgia, Courtney Flanders, 45, of Gainesville, Georgia and Matthew Delnoce, 39, of Ohio, were killed in the crash.
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration told ABC News that the flight took off from an airport in Gainesville and was en route to Daytona Beach, Florida.

Debris from an airplane crash that killed three people near Gainesville, Georgia, on Friday, February 26. (CNN)Three people were killed Friday when their single-engine plane crashed into a ravine shortly after takeoff in Gainesville, Georgia, officials said.
The plane, a single-engine Cessna-182, crashed about two miles northeast of Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport in Gainesville shortly after takeoff, said Federal Aviation Administration spokesperson Emma Duncan in a statement to CNN.
Hall County Fire Service responded to the crash around 6 p.m. and found the three adult victims, Hall County Fire Service Division Chief Zach Brackett told CNN in an email.

Three people were killed in a single-engine plane crash Friday night moments after taking off from Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport in Gainesville.
The plane had just taken off from the Gainesville airport en route to Daytona Beach, Florida around 6 p.m. when it crashed into a ravine near the intersection of Memorial Park Drive at Atlanta Highway. One home on the ground was damaged by falling fuel, displacing five residents. No one on the ground was injured.
The three adults killed in the crash were identified by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office as Dan Delnoce, 44, and Courtney Flanders, 45, of Gainesville and Matthew Delnoce, 39, of Ohio. The Sheriff’s Office is handling the death investigation while the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are working other aspects of the crash.
