P-J photo by Eric Tichy The Red Cross was assisting three adults displaced by a fire that broke out early Tuesday afternoon in the city of Jamestown. Fire was reported around 12:15 p.m. inside the basement of 33 Myrtle St., between Newland and Columbia avenues. Jamestown firefighters, who assisted the three evacuate, quickly doused the flames though smoke could be seen coming from several windows of the multi-unit property. Matthew Coon, Jamestown deputy fire chief, reported no serious injuries; two of the three occupants were eventually transported to UPMC Chautauqua for an evaluation.
