New protests have begun at another new york school, an antiantisemitic, antiisrael protesters ucla in los angeles fought with projewish demonstrators who tried to tear down their encampment overnight. In the midst of all of this, very little from President Biden himself, his staff putting out statements answering questions about the president s relative silence on the issue. We begin tonight in los angeles with correspondent bill melugin at ucla. Good evening, bill. Bill bret, good evening to you. we are looking at very mentally ill person, we believe, who attacked paul pelosi, a guy tried to buy fairy houses on etsy, the washington post reported. but he said that fairies couldn t live in them because the doors were painted the wrong colors, this is nuts. but i think the president is going to try to connect him to republicans broadly tonight. and that will be a very divisive issue going into these final days. bret: yeah. matthew, we re going to be in miami tomorrow. we will talk to the candidates. we will be talking to voters. and some interesting races down there. senator marco rubio has a lead heading into the election, final days, ron desantis, the governor, has a big lead. but what s interesting here is the local media, florida g.o.p. takes the lead in early voting in traditionally blue miami-dade. in extraordinary sign of trouble for democrats in florida ahead of election day the number of registered republicans voting in miami-dade county surpassed democrats on wednesd
leslie marshall, democratic strategist and vince coglianese phase editorial director at the daily caller. matthew, as you look at those numbers, you know, what do you see and we are always reading into the tea leaves here in the much change that happens in the final, final days. what i see bret, on the issue of voters economy, inflation and crime, republicans have the distinct advantage. if i were oz and walker, i would be a little bit concerned about those independent numbers. as you mentioned, the surveys also showed large numbers of undecided voters heading into the final days. there s a chance that those undecideds and the rest of the independents will break heavily for republicans. and i think that would give us the republican senate as well as an almost assured republican house. bret: as we have talked a lot about president biden, he is giving a speech at union station tonight about, again, we believe the maga threat, in his words, much like we saw his previous
power. the soundbites are a more choppier. getting closer to an election. two big races in the senate will determine the control of the senate. pennsylvania, lieutenant governor fetterman is up three on mehmet oz within the margin of error. here you see the breakdown, democrats, republicans and look at independents, 31-31. as you look at georgia. that is 1 point lead for the democratic incumbent raphael warnock over herschel walker. again, margin of error there but there you see the breakdown and independents break the other way. but there are undecideds in each one of these that are pretty high, which is interesting. we will talk about that in a second. meantime the wall street journal has the issues. democrats and republicans on the issues who handles it better. and there you see republicans up on the economy, inflation big. crime, abortion, the democrats, education, democrats border. a big lopsided number for republicans. let s bring in our panel. matthew con continue netty, fello
