MASSENA — The New York Power Authority wrapped up a week of environmental justice activities on Friday with a Community Day at the Massena Housing Authority.
BROCKTON – A pair of Emmy award-winning directors from Brockton invited the community to share their experiences and opinions on immigration in America for their new documentary I Am You. We decided to name the documentary I am you because, despite the differences between people, we all share the same goals. Whether you re an immigrant from Haiti or a kid from Chicago, everyone wants the pursuit of happiness, said Noube Rateau, who co-directed the documentary with William Medero.
The pair won a New England Emmy Award for a previous documentary, Protect, Serve & Care, which explored the issue of police shootings, looking at various perspectives and telling the stories of unarmed Black men who were killed by law enforcement.
