The Observer wraps up the 2022-23 year be reviewing the 10 best male and female athletes across the tri-campus with The Observer All-Commencement Teams.
CLEMSON, S.C. – The Florida State track and field team competed in the third and final day of the 2021 Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship. The women put on an impressive display to claim the ACC crown by scoring an amazing 95 points on the final day to jump and take first place. The men’s team claimed third place behind Virginia Tech and the University of North Carolina.
Florida State captured its fourth ACC women’s indoor championship, all of which have come under current head coach Bob Braman since 2009. The Seminoles have placed first in the last three women’s championships held at Clemson – 2014, 2018 and this season – and their four total ACC titles rank third in league history.
CLEMSON, S.C. – The men’s and women’s track team rounded out the first leg of the championship portion of the indoor season schedule with the ACC Indoor Championships on Saturday at the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Complex.
The Irish competed well in the final day of the conference competition, finding their way to three All-ACC honors, four personal bests, and one season best performance between the men and women.
Sophomore Michael Shoaf and senior John Stefan kicked off the day for the Irish in the men’s shot put. Shoaf finished ninth with a season best mark of 17.15m and Stefan’s 16.33m effort was good for 12th place.
