Updated: 5:11 PM CST Feb 10, 2021 Waukesha County health officials said 1,000 residents received the COVID-19 vaccine Wednesday at a public clinic.Continuing Coverage: Coronavirus in WisconsinAmong them were 250 people age 65 and older who signed up and got an appointment at the invitation-only site.It was the county s biggest single-day vaccination effort yet.Vaccinations began Monday. Waukesha County is vaccinating our public as quickly and safely as possible, Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow said. Our biggest limitation is access to vaccines. However, supply is increasing, and our operations are designed to grow along with it. Waukesha County has more than 70 registered vaccinators who are ready to join this historic community effort when the vaccine arrives. The county said the mass vaccination clinic will exhaust this week s dosage allotment from the state.
