DSF 2020: Your ultimate guide to sales, raffles and events

Dubai: The Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) kicks off on December 17 with an action-packed opening weekend of great live music, amazing markets, and family entertainment. The opening celebrations will usher in great concerts, promotions, shows and much more taking place across the city until the grand finale on January 30, 2021. Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), organisers of DSF, highlights the epic events that will kick off this latest edition of DSF:  Concerts Arabic music superstars Hussain Al Jassmi and Tamer Hosny will headline the first day of the two-day DSF opening celebration at Etisalat Market OTB at Burj Park, Downtown Dubai. Hussain and Tamer will perform on December 17. The show has sold out but will be aired live on MBC 1 and Wanasah at 8.30pm. TV presenter Lojain Omran will host the event.

Taste of Dubai food festival set to return in March 2021 The popular event will be back from March 11 to 13… Mark your calendars for March 11, as Taste of Dubai food festival will be once again hosting its annual event. For three days, the popular foodie fete will take over Dubai Media City Amphitheatre in celebration of all things eating and drinking. Organisers were forced to postpone the 2020 edition, so we expect this news will be a welcome announcement for Dubai’s food-lovers. With a schedule jam-packed with talks, workshops, tastings and more, Taste of Dubai 2021 is set to be an epic weekend.

What the Food: Alserkal Avenue launches 6-day food festival

There’s even a free workout hosted by Crank… After a rollercoaster of a year, there’s one thing that we can all agree still brings us together – food, glorious food. In celebration of all things eats and treats this month, Alserkal Avenue is hosting a pop-up simply called ‘WTF 2020’ (which stands for What The Food). Over two weekends, visitors will be treated to six days of activation all related to our favourite pastime. From Thursday December 10 to Saturday December 12, and Thursday December 17 to Saturday December 19, there will be a schedule of events jam-packed with all things eating. On both Thursdays, Mattar Farm are teaming up with BB Social Dining for a Supper Club at The Yard. Expect five courses in an outdoor setting over live fire, with dishes such as hay-smoked oysters, seared waygu over truffle honey crispy rice and tallow ice cream pecans.
