The Cassadaga Wind Project is expected to be completed some time in the first quarter of 2021, with everything proceeding according to schedule and “progressing well,” according to RWE Renewables communication manager Matt Tulis.
“All the foundations have now been poured and the final two turbines were delivered last week,” Tulis said.
The project consisted of 37 turbines total, signaling that the project is in fact near its close. And despite restrictions from COVID-19 and deterrents from the weather, the project hasn’t faced huge setbacks.
“We’ve had some delays due to weather, which isn’t unusual for a wind project or for the location of Cassadaga in New York state,” Tulis said. “We’ve been extremely careful during the pandemic and our COVID-19 protocol is reinforced daily onsite.”
