It s, first of all, that bizarre Oklahoma story that is not only an Oklahoma story, but a very American story of cultures organically growing together. For many people, natural preserves can be intimidating after dark, particularly a place such as the Everglades. But for photographer Matt Stock, nighttime is when natural spaces truly come to life.
Stock s upcoming exhibit Painting With Light, which features a series of hyper-realistic photographs shot in several landscapes, will be on view at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre from Thursday to Jan. 30. The public also will be able to attend the exhibit’s virtual opening from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Photographic Centre President and CEO Fatima NeJame said she was first drawn to Stock’s nighttime photography years ago, when he was the center s artist-in-residence for two summers in 2015 and 2016.
