At the Institute of Travel Management's conference, the New Distribution Capability (NDC) which lets airlines control and retail their products, was discussed. Corporate travel managers expressed concerns about difficulties in accessing content and resultant increased costs. Airlines argued that their change in strategy from focusing on businesses to individual travellers was supported by data pointing to increased leisure travel. The industry is urged to transition from outdated technology to NDC. However, businesses consider the focus should be on who's paying, not the end customer.
