Our View: We need to convince more on Guam to get vaccinated
Pacific Daily News
Our community must find ways to convince more people to get vaccinated for COVID-19.
Guam is close to the governor’s goal of fully vaccinating 80% of adults by July 21. But the vaccination rate for CHamorus and the island’s FSM community is low.
Last Thursday, Guam recorded its 141st COVID-19-related fatality. The 72-year woman, pronounced dead upon arrival at Guam Memorial Hospital, wasn’t vaccinated. All of Guam’s recent COVID-19-related deaths weren’t vaccinated.
“As we work toward rebuilding Guam, we are reminded that the COVID-19 virus remains a threat to our community, most especially those who have yet to get vaccinated,” said Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero.
