Wever, IA- Alliant Energy has proposed replacing some of its coal-generated energy with solar power. Alliant plans to do this by placing solar panels on 230 acres in Lee County outside Wever. Lee County Supervisors Chairman Matt Pflug told Tri States Public Radio that he likes the local plan because it wouldn't require the use of eminent domain.
