CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Construction is set to begin this year on a long-awaited, 2-mile park stretching the upper part of Charlestonâs peninsula known as the Lowcountry Lowline.
Now, Charleston city leaders and the group spearheading the project want to make sure the improvements still protect the neighborhoods surrounding the project.
Tom Bradford is with the developing group Friends of the Lowcountry Lowline.
He says the revamped corridor will be more than a park but a critical connection for local neighborhoods.
