Who Said It: Lincoln Project or Woke Lib? (QUIZ)

The Lincoln Project is back, baby. The mainstream media appear perfectly willing to let the scandal-plagued super PAC clear itself of any wrongdoing after paying a law firm run by Lincoln Project donors to investigate it. It worked for Gov. Ralph Northam (D., Va.), and it might even work for Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D., N.Y.).
The Lincoln Project started as a nominally Republican group opposed to former president Donald Trump but quickly morphed into a generic Democratic Party affiliate. It has gone a step further in recent weeks, becoming one of the most aggressive purveyors of woke culture on the internet. Last month, for example, disgraced former congresswoman Katie Hill (D., Calif.) appeared on Lincoln Project TV to discuss double standards and misogyny.
Platforming Big Liars four months on from the insurrection
Yesterday, the
Washington Post hosted a live video chat with Josh Hawley, the Republican senator for Missouri. The interview was billed as being about Hawley’s new book on the “tyranny of big tech,” but before discussing that, Cat Zakrzewski, a tech-policy reporter, asked Hawley about tyranny of a different type the coup attempt at the Capitol, which took place four months ago tomorrow, and Hawley’s responsibility for it. (He refused, both before and after the insurrection, to certify Joe Biden’s election victory, and made a fist-pump gesture toward protesters.) In response, Hawley offered bluster about “election integrity,” whataboutism targeting Democrats, and technicalities about supposed legal irregularities in Pennsylvania; Zakrzewski tried to intercede on a factual point, but Hawley pressed on. “Don’t try to censor, cancel, and silence me here,” he said. “Senator,” Zakrzewski replied, “we’
The segment explained that after
Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election and proceeded to push the “Big Lie” that the victory was stolen from him, red states began to alter their voting laws.
Iowa, Georgia, and Florida have already rewritten their election laws– with Texas not too far behind.
The amended laws have received immense pushback from Democrats, with even President
So, progressives were quick to criticize CBS News for dubbing the new laws as a simple tightening

Let s be clear about something. The U.S. doesn t really do accountability particularly well. It s a major reason why we often repeat the
same mistakes over and over again without learning much from history or experience. That s been made particularly clear by a U.S. press that continues to not only platform the insurrectionists who spread election fraud lies leading to the violent events of January 6, but treats these lies as
valid and meaningful opinions. That, understandably, has led to concerns that it s going to happen again. But worse.
Case in point is the Washington Post, which this week decided, for whatever reason, to give Senator Josh Hawley oodles of free publicity for his latest book. Washington Post Live hosted Hawley as part of a chat, providing him ample free marketing for his book complaining about the tyranny of big tech (tyrannically sold by Amazon, and heavily marketed by Hawley on Twitter). Not only that, the Post co
